Images and how long we keep them
Last updated:
Images you upload
When you ask for feedback on a thumbnail, a cover, or a clip, that image is stored in a private space. It is not public and it has no link anyone could guess.
It is sent to OpenAI to produce the feedback.
It is deleted automatically 30 days after you upload it. A daily job takes care of that.
Thumbnails the tool generates
These are also stored privately, for 30 days, so you can download them. After that they delete themselves.
Downloads use a signed link that expires after 15 minutes.
Deleting them sooner
You can delete an image whenever you like from inside the application. Deleting a conversation also deletes the images you reviewed in it. Deleting your account removes all of them, both the ones you uploaded and the ones you generated.
What we ask before you upload
Check that the image shows no names, private messages, or other people’s personal details. A thumbnail usually has text on it, and that text travels with the image.
Do not upload images of other people without their permission.
About generated thumbnails
An OpenAI model produces them from what you describe. They come out at 1536 by 1024 pixels.
You can use them on your channels. Bear in mind that a generated image can resemble another one from the same tool, so do not count on it being unique.
